Please note that you have the crescent shaped ice that last longer. And it will keep your ice frozen as it also acts as a freezer unlike most ice maker units on the market. The reversible door can be opened from the right or the left with the left or right hinge installation. The IB250 Ice Maker weighs 64 pounds and measures 14.9W x 20.06D x 33.31H inches. The ice it makes can be used for different purposes, like in your cold drinks on hot days or in your parties. It would make a nice addition to any home kitchen where lots of ice is needed daily.
You can install this built-in ice machine in pretty much any space in your home or office kitchen. As you can see in the photos it is a front venting type unit, does not require any drain lines and the fact that it has a reversible door make it a great ice maker for any type of installation. You just connect it to a regular wall power outlet. It will also fit under the counter nicely and shall be fine with its front ventilation. There is no draining option and the ice produced can be defrosted and dumped manually if the ice is not fresh anymore.
The exterior can get just a little warm to the touch, but not more than a TV. The door handle sticks out about two inches: Unit depth of 22.0625″ vs 20.0625″. It comes with a waterline that is not hard to hook up. Please note that you can’t install this unit with a custom face. It doesn’t require a filter to operate but you will always be better off by using a filter with any drinking water situations.
The EdgeStar IB250 is easy to clean with just water and soap or apple cider vinegar. So it doesn’t require any special ways of cleaning. But depending on your preference it will be good to empty your ice bin once full and keep the ice fresh at all times. The ice maker works quietly at all times and you will hardly hear anything except when the ice is being dropped for a few seconds and when the water is replenished. It is not a cheap unit but is very nicely built, looks very sleek and modern, works very well, has a built-in freezer and offers installation flexibility.
