Horizon Fitness T101-05 is a modern and compact smart treadmill with a Featherlight foldable design, Bluetooth functionality, three-zone variable response cushioning, integrated speakers and more. It has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars by 12 customers and appears to be a well-built treadmill with the bells and whistles for its price range.
There is a sturdy tablet rack in the center of the control panel and a water bottle holders on both sides for you to stay hydrated during your workout session. You can put your tablet or smartphone on the rack for entertainment purposes to keep distracted and go for longer or follow the instructor-led workout classes. Your device will be kept in place on the solid tablet holder even during intense workouts. The perfect placement angles ensure optimal viewing at all times. And you can also keep it charged with the rapid-charge USB port and you don’t have to worry about running out of battery.
The red-backlit LCD display screen shows the indicators of time, calories burned, speed, incline level, distance and heart rate. The pulse rate sensors are located on the handles in front of you below the display. You’ll find 10 speed keys, 10 incline keys, quick program keys, the Incline – and +, Start, Enter, Stop, Speed + and – buttons below the tablet rack. With the Bluetooth function you can connect to the media- videos, songs of your choice easily and wirelessly. There is also a rapid USB port for charging your smartphone or other devices quickly.
Your media device will be synchronized with the built-in speakers on the treadmill to generate decent vibrant sound. You can listen to music, watch your favorite shows or listen to the voice of your personal trainer and stay better motivated. It has a 2.75 continuous horse power high quality drive motor with a responsive digital drive to keep your rhythm and recalibrate you’re each step continuously and it will feel light on your feet. Due to the constant low rpms by this efficient motor, the treadmill will run quieter than normal and you can expect more use out of it with the improved durability.
If you’re not an advanced weights trainer or someone that does resistance training regularly, buying a treadmill like this Horizon may be a good idea and will cost you much less than paying for a gym membership. The company claims that this modern 
treadmill won a few awards for being very reliable, durable and high quality overall. Black Horizon Fitness T101-05 (HTM1233-01US) weighs 180 pounds with a max user weight of 250 pounds and measures 70 x 34 x 55 inches with a 20-inch wide running belt.
You can fold it up and down easily with the one-button Hydraulic featherlight folding technology and can be rolled easily on its transport wheels to a convenient spot in your house even though it is a very heavy treadmill. And you shouldn’t worry about how long it will last, as it will be at least a few years before you encounter any issues. It comes with a warranty of lifetime for the frame and the motor.
The T101-5 is slightly different to the previous year’s T101-4 model, with a more modern, cleaner and smaller control panel. The speed and incline levels will be changed automatically by the programs you select. Or you can do it manually- incline at 0.5% increments up to 10%. Although it is easy to put together as confirmed by a few customers, one customer had a difficulty setting it up with the not so easy instructions. Someone received a faulty product and they rated it 1 star (out of 5). The 55” long track is fine for most people but if you are very tall, then you may have problems. It offers decent value for the dollar with its quiet motor, comfort level with adequate belt width and length, automatic power incline, Bluetooth function, built-in speakers, good sound quality, USB port and more.
