Kalamera KR-08FB 8-Bottle Thermal Wine Cooler
Kalamera KR-08FB is a small tabletop thermal wine refrigerator/cooler with an 8 regular sized bottle capacity on its two metal shelves and a mirror glass with door frame. This is a single zone cooler with a temperature range of 50 to 66 degrees Fahrenheit. Being a thermoelectric cooler with 70 watts of power it works quietly, without making any noise or vibrations. This way the sediments in your wine bottles will not be disturbed. They will also be protected from the harmful ultraviolet rays with the sleek dual paned glass door that offers a great deal of insulation.
Black Kalamera Thermal Wine Cooler has a beautiful slim body design, weighs only 15 pounds and measures 16.14W x 20.27D x 10.82H inches outside with an 8 cubic feet capacity (12.99 x 13.38 x 7.67 inches inside) for 8 Bordeaux type bottles. You can remove the top shelf if you wish to put the larger or different shaped bottles. The bottle sizes and the configuration of the shelves will determine the total bottle capacity in this cooler.
It is made of mostly stainless steel and has the solid plastic door with a door hinge on the left. Please note that this door is not reversible. The LCD-backlit display panel with the touch key control is located on the top of the door and shows the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. You have the Celsius/Fahrenheit converter button, temperature up and down as well as the light button to turn on or off the blue light inside.
Please note that this wine cooler is not being delivered to California due to the energy efficiency standards set out by the California Energy Commission. Having said that the yearly power usage by this little cooler is not that much. And it is safe to use, as a product that complies with the ETL security standards in Canada and the US- holds an ETL certification. It is good for use with North American- Canadian and American outlets with 100-120V (60Hz) of voltage.
The interior temperature is kept consistently cool and stays stable at whatever you set it to, thanks to the great insulation provided by the double paned glass door. The temperature range of 50 to 66 degrees Fahrenheit is equal to (10 to 18.9 degrees Celsius). The leveling legs are adjustable when the floor is uneven, so there is no shaking or noise during the operation. It needs a stable temperature environment to work properly- inside your home kitchen, and is not designed for outdoors or commercial settings. Overall this Kalamera Fridge is good value for money for the low price point concerned. It is offered with a warranty of one year by the manufacturer.
