The stainless steel blade is resistant to corrosion and is great for slicing different kinds of things. When you’re making thicker slices of meat, the stainless steel baffle plate and the clear plastic plate will stop them from falling off. The large sliced meat will get out through the rear and slides quickly. It can cut frozen meats but you need to let it thaw first for a little bit, then you can get a better cut. But you may want to go a little slowly. In the box you’ll get the meat slicer, two whetstones for rough and less rough sharpening and the user manual.
The advantage of cutting your meat from frozen is the cuts will be a bit more consistent. Please do not try to cut anything with bones as you may ruin the blades and please use a band saw for that purpose. Super Deal T61 is a very good value slicer for the money: Durable, does a very good job, is safe to use and functional. It is very easy to assemble straight out of the box and has a very sturdy heavy-duty construction. There is no plastic on it except for the optional shield. The instructions, troubleshooting and warnings are in Chinglish- not the best on the user manual. No matter how safe this product may be to use, be very careful when using any commercial slicers.
