Whynter FWC-341TS 34-Bottle Wine Fridge

Whynter FWC-341TS 34 Bottle Freestanding Wine Fridge

Whynter FWC-341TS is a compact stainless steel wine fridge with a 34 bottle capacity on six shelves and a standalone design. It is a recent 2017 release product without many customer reviews online yet, but those exist are mostly positive. Shipping is within three to five days via Amazon.com.

It is suitable for use in kitchens, dining rooms, bars, living rooms or wherever you want to put it in your house, as it is both small in size and would look good with any decor. It has a spacious interior despite the compact exterior but the 34-bottle size is for the standard 750ml Bordeaux type bottles. And you can certainly remove a shelf if you wish to put in larger or weird shaped bottles.

Whynter FWC-341TS is a bit like a mini refrigerator- a compact product that weighs 61 pounds and measures 18.25 x 19 x 33 inches, with 34 cubic feet capacity and 30 inches height inside. You can use it only as a freestanding unit and not as built into the cabinet as it will need adequate amounts of clearance on the sides and the back. There is no front ventilation here like you get with built-in fridges.

The dual pane gray-smoked glass helps with the protection of your precious bottles from the potentially harmful ultraviolet lights but you can still see the contents clearly. The glass door is protective coated tempered, includes a safety lock at the bottom for protection from theft and a nice Whynter logo at the top. There is a towel bar door handle and the custom wooden shelf below the regular shelves that serve both as display and storing opened bottles safely.

It includes a convenient display shelf at the bottom and a digital LCD display on the glass door. You can set the temperature between 39 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit (4 to 18 degrees Celsius). And the cool air gets distributed precisely and evenly throughout the interior thanks to the high-end compressor (115 Volts, 60 Hertz, 1.3 Amps) with a powerful fan circulation.

It is a very nice looking little fridge and will brighten up your kitchen, especially when you fill it up with bottles. You may hear a little humming noise when the powerful compressor is doing its cycles but it is not loud enough to disturb you. You can store your white, red and sparkling bottles as well as beers and sodas. Non-wine drinks will all be chilled nicely if you set the temperature to 39 degrees. There is a Fahrenheit / Celsius converter on the panel and you can select whatever you feel comfortable with.

Please note that this is a manual defrost type of fridge, not automatic but you shouldn’t have any problems. It will require simple assembly when you take it out of the box and a screwdriver is all you need. You’ll get one-year manufacturer warranty for parts and labor as well as a friendly customer support service. Form- design and looks and functionality are two key factors in the creation of any Whynter cooling products. They focus on flexibility, portability and the best use of limited space you may have.
