Avalon A8 Countertop Bottleless Water Cooler
Avalon A8 (A8CTBOTTLELESS) is a countertop style modern bottleless self cleaning water cooler and dispenser for cold and hot water. You have the option to purchase it in black or white colors or also as the taller A7 full size slim line model.
There are two water spouts for hot and cold water to get piping hot or crisp cold water. And you can turn off the hot water switch at the rear to get the room temp water. You’ll see a child security lock on the hot water spout, so that your kids will not burn themselves by accident. It has the self cleaning ozone function by injecting the ozone for purifying and sanitizing the water dispenser, that helps stop the growth of bad bacteria and germs.
The spouts are easy to see in the dark at night, thanks to the integrated nightlight. There is also an indicator with light that tells you when the filter needs to get replaced. The advantage of getting a bottle-less water cooler is that you don’t need to pay for water bottles and do heavy lifting all the time. In the box you’ll get a 6 month/1500 gallon carbon block filter, a 6 month/1500 gallon sediment filter with a water line and a 6 foot power cord. It is a good idea to read the manual for installation and operation before starting to use it.
Avalon A8 weighs has a modern standalone design that is easy on the eyes, weighs 30 pounds and measures 15 x 12 x 19 inches. You have about 7.5 inches of space below the spouts and the dispensing area measures 10 x 2.5 x 9.5 inches. The paddle type spouts are easier and more convenient to use as you just press your cup against the paddle to fill it with hot or cold water. You do not need to add any ice cubes to the cold water at a temperature of roughly 47 degrees Fahrenheit. And you can use the hot water at 185 degrees to make tea, coffee or instant soup.
As the water comes from the water source, it is filtered through the built-in filter and gets dispensed through the hot or cold water spouts. Any rust, lead, bacteria or chlorine are eliminated by the filter. There is an integrated leak sensor that monitors the water that comes from the source into the machine. It is easy to set up as you connect the machine directly to the sink water line. The water filter is outside the unit, not inside. It has ventilation on both sides and needs enough clearance and may not be good inside a cabinet.
Filters need to be replaced in about 6 months or depending on use. There is no drain connected to the drip tray and you need to remove and empty the tray manually. It is an Energy Star approved cooler for less energy consumption, UL certified for conforming the nationally recognized safety standards and has the NSF certified activated carbon filter meeting the strict standards of public health. It doesn’t take as much space as a full size water cooler, works as promised, looks nice and modern, works with a water line without needing to replace any bottles and offers good value for the dollar.
