The same Koldfront is offered as the 18-bottle capacity TWR187ESS and the larger 32-bottle capacity TWR327ESS. Please note that it is not designed for built in or under the counter use and is only for stand-alone or freestanding use. The LCD-backlit touch sensitive control panel as the temperature adjustment- up and down buttons for upper and lower zones and the on and off button in the middle for the blue LED light inside.
There is a safety lock at the bottom front of the door for protecting your precious wine bottles from intruders or your kids. It has a tempered glass door with protection from harmful ultraviolet lights. The door needs to be opened 180 degrees for you to be able to slide out and remove the shelves. You can view your bottles through the light paired tempered glass door. If you can’t have enough space for opening the door 180 degrees you won’t be able to remove the shelves comfortably. The temperature can be adjusted between 46 and 66 degrees in the bottom section and between 54 and 66 degrees in the top section.
Koldfront TWR247ESS Wine Cooler weighs 48 pounds and measures 33.5H x 14W x 22.25D inches. The 24-bottle capacity is for the regular size 2.75-inch thick 750ml Bordeaux style bottles. You can just remove a shelf if you need to put your larger or weird shaped bottles. It has a black cabinet and stainless steel trim around the glass door and a handle it will look good in any home decor. The wooden shelves also add to its great look and make it look like a Cali wine cellar. The top section is more suitable for your red bottles and the bottom section is more for your white wine bottles. You would need to remove a shelf or two for your champagne bottles.
It needs at least ten inches of clearance for the air vents at the back and five inches on both sides according to the user manual. And please do not use it as built into the counter as it can only be used as a standalone. The actual temperatures that you set both zones can be slightly different than what you set them, depending on the ambient temperature as this is a thermoelectric cooler and not compressor style. The door is not reversible and will open from the left to the right as the hinge is located on the right. It can not be shipped to California as it does not meet the CEC- California Energy Commission requirements for non-commercial fridges. It is an economical, quiet, well-functioning wine cooler with a premium look and feel and a superior touch panel.
