You can choose the size of your cup- 5, 8, 14 or 18 ounces of coffee and 1.35, 2.7oz Espresso and can make single or double espresso. The quality of coffee and espresso it makes is reported to be very good for its price level and size, with a great taste, texture and silky crema on top. The quality of coffee depends often on the pressure applied in a machine and this Vertuo Deluxe by De’Longhi is able to spin the Nespresso capsules at 7000 rotations per minute. And this way it extracts all the flavors it can from these coffee pods. As a simple example you can probably tell the difference in the taste of coffee made with a simple French press / plunger and a decent moka pot on the stove.
It also offers the great taste consistently with a simple touch of a button. After the coffee brewing the machine ejects and stores the used pods automatically for recycling. And it switches itself off to save you on energy bills. Vertuo Deluxe is a very decent, smart and compact coffee maker that is also sustainable with the 54% recycled materials- solid plastic. The capsule container can have 8 capsules at a time and the water reservoir is 37 pounds. The coffee freshness is protected with the sealed aluminum capsules and the capsule recycling is made easier by the recycling program of Nespresso.

You can connect to this coffee espresso machine via Bluetooth by downloading an app. It is easy to set up, operate and maintain by the updates reminders for the machine popping up. You may need to apply a bit of pressure on the lid to lock and unlock it and that’s normal for a machine that works with high pressure. As a smart machine it knows exactly what to do with your coffee capsules by reading the barcode on the pod- the pressure to be applied, temperature, size and brewing time. As small cons to point out, it has a smaller water reservoir than the previous Nespresso machines and you may need to refill it more often. The ejection and waste storage of used pods is a nice feature but it is a little hard to get and grab them to dispose of them. Overall it is a great machine with a user friendly design and that offers great results in terms of the quality of coffee.
