The stainless steel and black Ninja Foodi weighs 15.72 pounds and measures 19.7W x 7.5H x 15.1D inches and has an XL capacity with a 45% more cooking area than the Cuisinart TOA-60 pan. You can actually fit in 9 pieces of toast, 6 chicken breasts up to 8 ounce size each or a large 13-inch pizza. With the multiple functions of bake, air fry, toast, bagel, air broil, air roast, dehydrate and keep warm, it is a great little cooker with an 1800-watt power.
It will occupy half the space when you flip it up and away for storing at the back against the back splash. In the air frying mode you will need to use 75% less fat than regular deep frying. With a unique design and the best pressure cooking and air frying, it cooks even the large one pan family meals quickly- in just twenty minutes to half an hour and evenly, including a 1 minute preheat. With its convenient flip-up design you can flip the oven up and away for storage when you’re not using it.
You can grill indoors for a beautiful char grilled crispy texture whenever you want. Many different meals can be cooked by just pushing a button. The baking tray is much larger than what you’ll find in other toaster ovens or air fryers you’ll find on the market. You have about 3 inches of clearance between the top heating elements and the wire rack. A 12-cup muffin pan is also available separately for purchase. It is 15 inches high in the flipped up position.
You can’t really fit in a whole large chicken in this toaster oven, but you can cut the chicken into pieces and cook the parts laid on the tray. And you’ll be cooking your chicken much faster this way and with the air frying method. You need enough clearance at the top and on all sides of the oven that gets hot on the outside and on the glass windows. But touching the door handle or the control panel will not be a problem. The way the air frying function works is the even heat comes through the top and the bottom with the max speed fan.
You can air fry up to 4 pounds of potato chips or other ingredients at once. You need to shake and rotate the basket during the cooking for the best results. The Air Roast setting uses a medium fan speed. Control panel is very easy to use, even without reading the instructions. In the box you’ll get a small chef-inspired cookbook with more than 15 recipes, a mesh tray, a nonstick tray, a slide-in tray for the non-stick tray to sit on and a crumb tray to catch the excess oil etc.
There won’t be any off smells during the cooking process. It is easy to deep clean with the easy to access back panel and a detachable crumb tray. There is an internal light for you to see the contents clearly. Ninja Foodi Digital Toaster Air Fryer looks sleek and modern in stainless steel and black and the flip up design is nice and convenient for saving you counter space. But a design flaw is the height of this unit that may stop you from fitting in more or larger items. You may need a bit more time for cooking than suggested in the instructions manual. Despite the small flaws you’re getting pretty good value for the dollar.
