IcePlus Ice Maker runs fairly quietly and gets the bullet shaped ice ready within just 6 minutes. The best feature of this unit is the speed at which it produces ice cube, thanks to its advanced design. It will take up to 12-13 minutes to get ice on other ice machines, while this one takes only six minutes (maximum of 8 minutes) to give you 9 bullet shaped ice cubes. Even though it is not very big in size it is quite powerful and has a large capacity. You can use it on any occasion, when you have guests over or have a party or on your camping trips.
This ice maker is easy to use with a single button to start and stop on the panel. You have the indicator lights that tell you when your ice cubes are ready or when you need to refill it with water. You can choose between the sizes of small and large. The gray and woodgrain black Iceplus HIM-56A Ice Maker weighs 25.6 pounds and measures 17 x 16 x 15 inches, is compact and lightweight and you can carry it anywhere easily. The ice storage capacity is 2.1 pounds. There is a large visual HD window that is about twice the size of what’s available on other ice makers. And you can see the whole ice making process, the water level and the quality of the cubes clearly. Some of the ice makers on the market do not have a window at all.
With its convenient round shape and the drain hole you can drain it easily when you need to. The drain plug is food grade rubber that won’t leak or break easily. The drain plug is located at the rear bottom on the left hand side. The whole ice making process is automatic and there won’t be any need for plumbing. R134A refrigerant has a 140W power and 110-130Volts and 60Hz frequency and is good for use in North America.
As an ETL certified ice maker it complies with the North American Safety standards and is very safe to use. You are recommended to use pure filtered water for the better tasting and clearer ice and it is also OK to use lemon water and will be able to make ice. It does the job well, makes ice quickly and until the tray is full, so you will have plenty of ice to use in your cold beverages or foods. Their customer service is reported to be very good by the customers that had experience with them. There is not much wrong with this ice making machine, other than perhaps the instructions manual. It would be better if it was written by a native English speaker. And the ice melts after a little while as you may expect and you need to transfer the ice cubes to your fridge freezer if you won’t use them straight away. It comes with a warranty of one year by the manufacturer.
