You can make very rich coffee tasting coffee concentrate for your cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos and other types of specialist coffees. It even has the fold-away frother for turning cold or hot milk into a beautiful smooth froth. It offers 4 brew styles, including the classic brew for balanced flavor, rich brew for a more intense flavor, iced coffee for a tasty fresh brew over ice and specialty brew for a super-rich concentrate for lattes, cappuccinos or other coffee beverages. The 6 brew sizes are full carafe, half carafe, XL travel mug, standard travel mug, XL single cup and standard single cup.
The integrated milk frother makes decent froth in just a few seconds. The fresh over ice- iced coffee it brews is not watery but very tasty and full of flavors. You don’t need to use coffee pods with this machine and you’ll have more flexibility, variety, customized brew and less waste. It weighs 13.2 pounds and measures 12 x 8.8 x 15 inches and can take a bit of space due to larger size. With the frother arm out, it measures 15.5W x 9D x 15H inches, is a bit tall but should fit under a lot of cabinets. All plastic parts of this Ninja Coffee Maker is BPA-free and good for health.
Please note that this machine doesn’t make espresso as the grounds are smaller in espresso although it also uses pressure to brew coffee just like espresso. It comes with the delay brew function that lets you to select the time you wish to start brewing, the brew type and size. The coffee machine comes with the reusable filter and if you want to use paper filters instead, it needs to be the number 4 cone shaped filters. Please remember to take out the reusable permanent filter when you use the paper filter. The coffee brew temperature is around 175 degrees Fahrenheit and the taste is quite good.
Depending on the personal taste you may prefer the screen filter to the paper filter and vice versa. It doesn’t keep hot water in the reservoir like some other models on the market but makes classic brew coffee from room temp water in about 4 minutes, and up to 10 minutes depending on the brew type and setting. It is made of solid plastic but has a robust construction and you shouldn’t have any problems for many years. It is easy to clean the frother wand as it is removed with a half turn for you to rinse it under the faucet. It has a simplistic design, gives you quite a bit of flexibility for size, are type and timing, keeping warm and more. It comes with a year of limited warranty for defects, repairs or replacements. Overall it is great value for money.
