You are welcome to use the disposable paper filters for a smoother and less bitter coffee as the paper is better at trapping the bitter sediments of the coffee grounds. And the reusable filter will give you a more robust taste with the full flavor in your cup. The rich coffee oils are brewed through the very small holes of the reusable filter. If you want a stronger brew, simply use more ground coffee as there is not strong coffee button or option. It is a durable coffee maker overall but the glass could break if you knock it too hard. The cord could be a longer but it is nota huge deal either.
